Trump Offers Illegal Migrants $1,000 to leave the USA
The Trump administration has launched a highly controversial "self-deportation" program, offering undocumented immigrants in the United States a $1,000 stipend to voluntarily return to their home countries.
Managed through the CBP Home app, the initiative aims to reduce deportation costs and offer participants lower detention priority.
However, immigration advocates are raising serious concerns, warning that the program could mislead individuals about their future legal re-entry into the U.S. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) unveiled the program on May 5th, confirming the $1,000 financial incentive for those who choose to leave voluntarily.
