Bill Gates Predicts AI Will Replace Doctors and Teachers in 10 Years - would you let an AI robot be your doctor?
Bill Gates recently claimed on the "People by WTF" podcast (April 17, 2025) that AI could replace doctors and teachers within a decade. He said this will address global shortages like the projected U.S. physician deficit of 86,000 by 2036.
People have questioned AI's ability to handle medical liabilities. For example, will the AI robot be held responsible for medical mistakes?
Others have dismissed this as another pipe dream from Bill Gates, citing his past "lab-grown meat" prediction.

It is not the AI robot that will be held responsible when surgeries go wrong. It will be the hospital. Same when when an Xray machine doesnt fully show a medical problem. We dont take the X-ray machine to court. We take the professional involved or the hospital to court. I see AI replacing most tasks guided by humans. AI can never be trusted 100% to make decisions by itself. That will be the end of us.
