Court Accepts More Evidence in N2.7 Billion Fraud Case Against Ex-Aviation Minister Sirika

A Federal High Court in Abuja has admitted additional evidence in the ongoing N2.7 billion fraud case against former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, his daughter Fatima Sirika, his son-in-law Jalal Sule Hamma, and Al Buraq Global Investment Limited. The defendants are facing charges of abuse of office related to the alleged misappropriation of public funds.

During a recent court hearing, the prosecution, led by A.O. Atolagbe, presented the Ninth Prosecution Witness (PW9), a retired General Manager from the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA). This witness provided further evidence that the court deemed admissible, adding to the growing body of information against the former minister and his co-defendants.

The case centers around allegations that Sirika abused his position to divert N2.7 billion in public funds for personal gain. The inclusion of new evidence suggests that the prosecution is building a strong case, and the court's acceptance of this evidence indicates its relevance to the ongoing trial.

The trial continues as the court seeks to establish the truth behind the alleged fraud and ensure accountability for the use of public funds.
